In Saudi Arabia, it is mandatory for an expatriate to keep traffic fines up to date. According to the country law, no one can leave the country unless he or she pays his or her traffic dues.
Earlier, it was difficult to check traffic dues, but thanks to the MOI (Ministry Of Interior) that has an online portal which enables an expat to check how much traffic fine he or she has to pay before leaving the country.
The portal has all identity-info related to the expat and can be accessed online by him- or herself by providing identity details.
Several options are available out there to check whether you have been ever fined by the traffic police while being driving in Saudi Arabia, go for which suits you the most:
Know Your Traffic Fines via iqama number MOI portal
Follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Go to this website Click here
- Enter your Residence ID or Iqama number.
- Enter the text shown in the image
- Click View to see your traffic dues
Know Your Traffic Fines via Abshir Account
Click here to go Abshir account login to access the login page.
Enter your details and click login.
On the top right of the page click My Dashboard or click your profile picture, this will also redirect you to the dashboard.
On the dashboard, you can find all your details including the Traffic Violation Amount.
Know Your Traffic Fines via Calling
You can also check your Traffic Violation Amount without going online, check-out the following steps:
Dial 989 from your mobile phone.
Press 2 to choose the English language.
Press 1 to know your traffic fines.
Enter your Iqama or Muqeem number and then Press #.
Press 1 to determine your Iqama or Muqeem.
You will get a message regarding your traffic fines.
Know Your Traffic Fines via Online Banking
You can know your traffic due using online banking service and pay the dues if any, follow the below-mentioned steps:
Login to internet/online banking.
Locate and drag to the Bill Payment Section.
Click “Traffic Violations” from the drop-down list.
Enter your Iqama number and click “Check”.
You will see the amount to be paid.
